Every since its foundation, SRT has pursued continual evolution and innovation in the railway industry. Our expertise, developed over the years as part of the Salcef Group—an international player with more than 70 years of experience in railway infrastructure—has enabled us to grow and establish ourselves as an independent and dynamic company within the railway infrastructure sector.
Our history has included a number of significant moments, from the foundation in 2009 of ORS – Officine Riparazioni Speciali to the acquisition of Colmar Technik S.p.A., as we have constantly sought to lead the way, launching new products providing a proactive response to the market’s evolving needs.
ORS – Officine Riparazioni Speciali is established at the former Pasolini VCB plant in Fano, owned by the Salcef Group.
The creation of SRT S.r.l. marks an expansion of the capabilities and know-how acquired by ORS and prepares the ground for future growth in the railway machinery construction sector.
A new multimodal railway wagon, deriving flexibility from the many outfittings available, goes into production.
The Fano plant is expanded and redesigned on industry 4.0 principles.
The launch of Vulcano, a new-concept, high-performance rail grinder.
A new plant is opened to further expand production capacity.
