At SRT, we adopt real, specific measures to ensure corporate growth that satisfies needs while respecting the ecosystem and communities, both now and in the future. We are registered on the portal of EcoVadis, an independent, internationally accredited organisation that assesses corporate social responsibility. In 2023 we were awarded the platinum medal, the highest score, achieved by just 1% of corporate top-performers worldwide.

Fano plant energy self-sufficiency

We are committed to meeting our energy needs through the reuse of waste and the use of renewable sources. Our Fano plant has a system for processing the wastewater from the vehicle washing plant and a photovoltaic power system. This system, consisting of 768 x 260 W panels, enables us to generate an estimated 243 MWh/year. In 2023 we produced 216.6 MWh, of which 213.4 MWh was used in-house, covering 80% of the plant’s annual electricity consumption.

With a workforce of 250, we are committed to promoting respect for equal opportunities, fostering specific competences and encouraging the training of skilled staff, creating a working environment in which everyone can contribute to shared objectives.

The continual research conducted by our teams of engineers into the development of innovative systems and machinery enables the optimisation of operations in terms of both time and logistics during our products’ use, significantly reducing emissions of both noise and pollutants.

Our commitment to greater sustainability is reflected in the construction of hybrid and electric products. The Colmar electric shunters and the hybrid DHS wagon are state-of-the-art solutions that reduce environmental impact and operating costs. These vehicles provide superior performance, require less maintenance and bear witness to our commitment to innovating with environment-friendliness.
