A new Vulcano Heavy 52M rail grinder, developed by SRT, has been delivered.
An SRT-designed and manufactured Vulcano Heavy 52M grinding train has recently been delivered to the client and is now ready for operation on Italian railway maintenance sites. This model was produced at the Fano facility, a strategic research and production hub, directly connected to the Adriatic railway line for streamlined logistics.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, Vulcano performs essential railway maintenance like removing corrugation and correcting the longitudinal rail profile, operations that are critical for network safety and continuity.
Key features of the Vulcano Heavy 52M include advanced measurement systems for continuous monitoring of rail conditions before, during, and after grinding. Dedicated RAVAR software optimizes the alignment of the grinding stones, ensuring uniform profile coverage and precise results.
Integrated Industry 4.0 technologies enable remote control and real-time performance monitoring, and high-efficiency Stage V engines and systems for containing dust and sparks ensure reduced environmental impact, compliant with the latest regulations.
SRT reaffirms its commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for railway infrastructure maintenance, consolidating its position as a sector leader.
