Optimizes ballast cleaning
The Heavy crusher wagon consists of an SRT Heavy line four-axle flat wagon equipped with a crusher, a compact hopper and a conveyor belt. During demolition and excavation works it reduces large stones to the required size and transfers them via the conveyor belt to the downstream DHS unit.
This type of vehicle is placed between the excavator and the train of spoil wagons (DHS or similar), transferring material from the excavation point to the first loading wagon without occupying the adjacent track.
The crusher wagon is classified as “machinery” under directive 2006_42_EC and is intended for use in track and turnout ballast cleaning works.
