Light hopper wagon
Efficient ballast transport from quarry to worksite
The Light hopper wagon is designed to transport ballast and unload it on the line. With its four dispensing outlets, it can unload ballast both onto and around the track. The unloading system is fully automated: the outlet opening and closing cylinders are operated by electrohydraulic control devices. An on-board computer enables the user to view data and monitor the vehicle’s performance, even from remote.
The hopper wagon consists of a Light two-axle flat wagon on which a hopper is installed. This on-track machine is compliant with the EN 14033 standards and is ideal for the construction and maintenance of railway infrastructures.

LIGHT HOPPER WAGON
Strengths and benefits
Precise, optimal unloading system
Four hydraulically operated dispensing outlets provide precise unloading, reducing the work of the ballast regulator.
High quality, performance and convenience
Rugged metal structure and lower centre of gravity and drop-side top height than standard machines.
Optimization of handling
Only one wagon is needed to transport ballast from the quarry straight to the worksite.
Environmental sustainability
Use of rail instead of road transport.
Cost reduction
Significant reduction in overall procurement costs.
More efficient logistics
No need to establish worksites at the stations near the track under construction or maintenance.
Enhanced safety
Optimal lighting system for the highest degree of operator safety.
